Meaghan Hannan Davant

Located in Washington, D.C., Meaghan is a seasoned trial attorney with more than a decade of experience in state and federal courts across the country. She has represented a broad array of clients, from individuals and small businesses to multi-national corporations. Her practice focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation.

Meaghan began her career at WilmerHale LLP, where she spent seven years representing some of the nation’s leading businesses and pioneers in technology, including computer, pharmaceutical and biomedical devices. Meaghan has also served as Deputy General Counsel of a major national nonprofit focusing on women’s health care issues and is a trained and experienced mediator. Throughout her legal career, Meaghan has maintained an active pro bono practice with a particular focus on women’s issues.

Meaghan earned her law degree, cum laude, from Duke University School of Law in 2004, where she served as an editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law. She also holds a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communications with a focus on medical and science writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Roy H. Park Fellow. Meaghan received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University. She is admitted to the bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and the Eastern District of Virginia.

Meaghan lives in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with her husband, Charles, two children, Madeleine and Charlie, and their dog, Leo.
